Donations Allow for Parking Lot Repairs

A triad of generous donations from local organizations and individuals has allowed HYSA to make some much-needed repairs to the Siebel Soccer Complex parking lot. Ground asphalt was donated by Helena Sand and Gravel, a Bobcat skid-steel loader was donated by Golden Eagle Construction, and manual labor was donated by Lance Vickory, HYSA parent and commercial construction superintendent for Golden Eagle.

"We had numerous large potholes in the entrances to the soccer complex that posed danger to our players, parents, and friends when they would come here to play - especially if they were unfamiliar with the parking lot," said HYSA program director, Brett Axelrod. "We’re lucky to have so many groups and individuals in the Helena area who want to give back to HYSA and the entire soccer community."

The improvements should make smooth out traffic flow during busy times at the Siebel Soccer Complex, just in time for this Saturday’s HYSA Academy jamboree. The Helena area will welcome over 60 teams from around the state to play soccer this weekend. A complete schedule can be found here.
