HYSA to Host USSF Coaching License Courses

Youth Module, 'E', and 'D' courses to be offered.

The Helena Youth Soccer Association (HYSA) will host three coaching courses in the coming weeks sponsored by United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA).

--The National ’E’ license course is a one-weekend course intended to introduce coaches to beginning level principles of coaching competitive youth soccer or advanced coaching principles of recreational soccer. It is designed for coaches interested in pursuing competitive youth soccer. The cost of the course is $75, but current HYSA Academy and Arsenal coaches attending will be reimbursed upon completion of the course. The ’E’ license will be held from March 15-17 with the following schedule:

--The Youth Module clinic is a two-part course designed for recreation level coaches. Part one is an online course and must be completed before part two can be taken. Part two is a field sessions and will be held at separate times depending on the age of the teams being coached. Click here to register and take the online portion of the Youth Module. The field portion of the You Module will be held on Thursday, March 21:

U6-U8 coaches: 5:00-6:00 PM
U9-U12 coaches: 6:00-7:00 PM

Both sessions will be held at HYSA’s Siebel Soccer Complex. All spring 2013 HYSA Rec coaches are encouraged to attend and will be fully reimbursed for their child’s registration cost at the Rec coaches’ meeting in April.

--The National ’D’ License is a two-weekend course designed for the experienced coach who has already earned a National ’E’ license. The focus of this course is to improve individual’s and team’s ability.Applicants must have coached for one full year since attaining their National ’E’ license and must attend both weekends of the National ’D’ to qualify for the license. Completion of the entire course does not guarantee a National ’D’ license, as participants may achieve the National ’D’, the State ’D’ or fail. The cost of the National ’D’ license course is $150 and current HYSA Academy and Arsenal coaches will be fully reimbursed upon achievement of the National ’D’ license. The application is the same as the National ’E’, please see above to apply. The weekend’s schedule is similar to the ’E’ license as well. The first weekend of the National ’D’ license course will be March 29-31 and the second weekend will be held June 28-30.
