New and Re-Certifying
There are changes to Soccer Referee Certification for 2020.
Understand all of the information in this article before signing up for any course work.
Certification and Re-Certification is now run by the State through US Soccer instead of GotSoccer.
Classroom training sessions in Helena for New Referees are on the calendar for March 14th, on-line testing must be completed first.

Re-cert referees will need their referee information housed in GotSoccer. When creating the new account in US Soccer be sure to copy the information over exactly including middle name.
First time referees will create their new account with new information.
All referees 18 and older need to do the background check and SafeSport test. Background check takes 7 to 10 days to clear. There is not an email notice that the background check is complete, you'll need to keep checking back. You can complete the SafeSport testing while waiting for the Background check to clear.
Younger referees, under 18, do not need to do the background check or SafeSport.
After registration and payment the courses are under the Assignments tab.
Plan on 3 hours for the on-line courses.
Assigning will still be done in GotSoccer, so new referees will need to create a GotSoccer account after being certified and choose the Helena Assignor as Primary.
